What
is Toile? Toile
is a linen or cotton cloth, usually made in one
color with a printed design that resembles a pen
and ink technique. Made famous in Jouy, France
in the 18th century when a new technique of
engraved plate printing was popularized, toile
was known as toile de Jouy. Toiles are printed
by various methods, but the most beautiful are
still created by engraved plates or rollers. In
French, “toile” means “cloth.”

always looking for new things with goat
designs (aren't we all?!). We love
the French Country Toile look, as it
really seems to reflect the pastoral
nature of raising goats. We have
located a limited supply of some lovely
Toile stoneware/ceramic pieces that are elegant
works of art - and there's a goat being
milked! The enlarged artwork below
isn't the best, and we hope to capture
better images soon. Actual color
is black and white. The
dinner plate would
look great displaying and serving your favorite goat
cheeses - or get a set for a special
meal! It can also be displayed in a
hanging plate rack.
The Plate measures
10" in diameter. It is dishwasher
safe and FDA approved for food use.
We've seen similar plates selling for
$30 or more - and they weren't even food
safe!
The vase measures 7 1/2"H
with a 2 3/4"
opening.
It comes in a lovely gift box.
The vase is really lovely and any
flower arrangement would look superb -
or it's perfect just on its own or with a
candle!
The pitcher measures 10"H
with a 3 1/2"
opening.
It is dishwasher safe and FDA approved
for food use. A beautiful serving
container for that wonderful goat milk!
The teapot measures 6
1/2"H with a2
3/4:Opening.
Holds 40 oz.
